My girlfriend wanted to do sushi for dinner so we saw that this place was not too far from our hotel. So we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed, we are both from Hawaii so we are very familiar with fresh fish and sushi. So we were curious how it would compare to some of our favorite spots in Hawai'i and Las Vegas. We were not disappointed, when we got there it was a little busy but the place was not full. They seated us as soon as we walked in the door. The decor was nice a little minimal but it is a very big room with high ceilings. They have several tv located throughout the restaurant and it seemed like they all had sports on which was fine with me. They also had what looked to be a very well stocked bar in the middle of the room. We opted for the AllYou Can Eat Sushi. The menu is pretty well stocked with a nice variety of choices of Maki rolls/Hand Rolls , Sashimi and cooked sushi. We are the type that prefer good quality seafood without a lot of sauces or cover ups so we started with some sashimi and a hand roll. From the first order we could tell that we were going to enjoy this place. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Some of our favorites were the Hamachi, Tuna, White Tuna. I also have to compliment them on the fried oysters. I have tried these at many an establishment and let me say more often than not they are a disappointment. These were prepared perfectly and the quality was some of the best I have had especially for an all you can eat place. The sauce that they come with was great. I really enjoyed it, the orders came out really fast and presentation was very nice. Service was on point and the drinks were great. I am glad we decided to try this place out and will definitely be going back when we are in town again. I highly recommend trying these guys out whether you have had sushi before or if this is your first time. The server was also very good about explaining how things worked and what each dish was.

I tried this place out with my friend for the lunch special. The lunch special was roughly about $20 and I think you really do get a bang for your bucks. The fish was overall very fresh and I would like to say its quality is pretty good especially for all you can eat sushi. The wait was quite long ; we waited an hour to be seated which I guess is expected since everyone was here for the lunch special. My favorite dishes would have to be the spicy tuna hand rolls, chicken Karaage, and the pepper tuna tataki. My one recommendation would be to get there early for the lunch special as the lunch ends at 3pm so you have more time to order all the food & reorder as needed. My friend & I over ordered so our stomachs end up paying for it later trying to finish everything. I would come back again & try more dishes!

I've ate at this place twice and I think it's amazing when you think all you can eat sushi you didn't think of fresh right off the menu quality which that's exactly what you do is order off a menu and it's all you can eat. Highly recommended.

Takumi is one of the newest all you can eat (ayce) sushi spots in town and it is incredible cheap for lunch. Their original location is in Pearland and they have expanded to the Dallas area. I think it's well worth the price for what you're getting. They have a lot of space inside, with the capacity for large parties as well. I came for the lunch ayce with some friends. We ordered salmon, tuna, and snapper nigiri, salmon and eel avocado hand rolls, and the rainbow, takumi, dancing eel, Asian muffin, spicy tuna, and eel avocado rolls. I love how they don't overload the rolls with rice like some other places. They don't serve sashimi during lunch but if you get the salmon hand rolls it's basically sashimi. My favorite rolls were the ones with eel in them. The sushi here isn't out of this world but it's really good for all you can eat, you can definitely get your values worth here. The only knock is that their service here can be slow at times. They are relatively new though so it is definitely something that can be improved in the future

My boyfriend and I tried out Takumi a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was clean and had a modern vibe, tables were a great size for AYCE. Service timing was good, we got two rounds of apps and rolls in for our meal, but if you have a bigger appetite I'm sure you could fit another round. We tried several of the maki offerings, shumai, egg rolls, gyoza, and karage. All of the hot apps were great! I had never tried a fried shumai, but it was delicious. The rolls were good too, although some of the fish wasn't as cold as I'd prefer. Decent quality for an AYCE spot though! Finished up with desserts - the tempura banana wnd fried Oreos were great, others were a skip for us. A couple things to note: - Most of the hot appetizers come as one individual piece, so keep that in mind when ordering - You can order up to 3 rolls per person each round (ex. for two people, up to 6 rolls at a time!) We'll be back with friends!

Our new favorite AYCE sushi place in DFW! It feels clean and new inside. Wait staff is very friendly, although they can get pretty busy during peak dinner time. Food is the main standout. So many options including hand rolls and sashimi which you normally don't find!! Everything is great quality and you even get dessert included. Definitely well worth it and highly recommend!!

Came around soft opening, so they had a tweaks to work out. I usually don't come during soft openings because of this, but wanted to try. This was crazy popular on a weekend night. As people mentioned, AYCE dinner for $32, which is pretty standard. Took maybe under an hour to get seated. Food seemed to be moving out pretty slowly. Not sure what happened, but it seemed like they forgot about our food, so we sat around waiting for over an hour until we could get the attention of a server... service was not quite there, but understandably again it was soft opening, so they were running around getting stuff sorted out. I liked that they didn't have round limits.. (at least not yet). I recall Sushi Kushi did when I went. Some of the sashimi hadn't been fully thawed yet and was still kind of cold. Salmon was probably the best one. Agree that I wish there was an option to order half rolls instead of the full roll. Wanted to try more, but the table couldn't commit to eating a full one. Tried hand roll for the first time! I liked it better than the rolls, but thought the rice was meh. But I don't have anything else to compare it with. Some of the raw fish appetizers weren't full versions, so we had to order 2 so the whole table could try. Only tried the fried cheesecake dessert and it's more tempura like. I liked it though. Like to see more AYCE places added, so there's more choice and competition. I think this place has potential once they sort out opening issues. And sashimi isn't a common option, so I like that.

This is probably my new favorite AYCE spot in Dallas! The restaurant itself is fairly large and has plenty of seating. We arrived on a Sunday for a table of 8 and were seated right away, although there were several other tables already occupied. The exciting thing about this place is that in their dinner menu pricing $31/person, they include AYCE sashimi! Lots of different sashimi/nigiri options as well as hot food items, which makes it a great option for those who aren't necessarily sushi fans. Everything we ordered was super fresh and the sashimi was buttery and delicious! For kids, they do charge by their height, not their age, but still a great deal. Overall, I will definitely be returning here when my next sushi craving hits!
